Mutiny On The Bounty - Trials

Second album for Mutiny On The Bounty, I received a promo copy from Julien (5RP) and I had mixed feelings at the first listening.

Most of the screamed vocals from the first album disappear and have been replaced by melodic vocals which surprized me. Musicwise it is still a huge work between composition and technical skills.

A couple weeks after, the great Benoit Maume invited Lord Sylvain Bekaert and myself to see them live : what a slap ! The instrumental songs became huge live and the vocals more raw/punk/screamed. An incredibly powerful show was played that night in Paris at le Nouveau Casino, the 16th of November 2012.

Then I came back to the record and I realized there is a big difference in style between the six first tracks and the six last ones.

And as I didn’t really liked the first songs, it all started with the drum pattern in Fiction and its chorus which reminds me of the live’s good moments.

Composition work on For The Men Who Had Everything is crazy : Great track.

Statues is a strong song to see live with all the chorus. That time I like the lead vocals which reminds me of what I like in Hopesfall’s vocals.

Then watch the live video of North Korea below, awesome.

Let’s see what’s next.

Danger Mouth

(2009, Redfield Records) Luxembourg.

Mutiny on the Bounty - Danger Mouth

Mutiny On The Bounty is a talented band from Luxembourg and play a music between The Fall Of Troy, Hopesfall or Rumble in Rhodos.

The four of them are composition’s master.

The sharing between screams, singing and chorus is perfectly measured in that album.

Let’s start with “Danger Mouth” with its first awesome track : Call Me Cheesus !.

I love Go Hide Your Neck (They’ve Sharpened Teeth) which is terrific (really funny this Waltz-drum pattern and the oooh and whohohohos !)

Continent‘s melodies are superbes.

Cruz Candelaeria is an instrumental track but so much is going on that you won’t get bored.

Comfort In Silence‘s Finale at 2:48 is huge.

Then let’s congratulate the beauty of the artwork..

A great record !
