The Sliping Kangooroos - 1979 - Cover

1979

(2013, D.I.Y.) France, Charleville-Mézières.

New album by The Sliping Kangooroos and it starts loud with their first song Millionaire which makes me think of the Hives’ energy.

Ghostly Dreams is a combination of catchy riffs in a 90’s rock vein : really cool.

I love the vocal performance on I’m The One, a song that may have come from Bloc Party’s universe, great !

Helicopter‘s chorus is very powerful, but I love all the songs dealing with apocalypse haha.

JI loev the bass parts and the guitar’s ambiences in The Race.

Thumbs up for Zortec’s beautiful artwork (http://zortec.over-blog.com/)

Many good songs !

Dance Now !

(2010, D.I.Y.) France, Charleville-Mézières.

TSK are back !

That album is my favorite composition-wise in their discographie.

These dark melodies and the vocals are amazing in Goldfish.

I love the effect on the theme played by the guitar in Dance Now !

There is a lot of production’s work on Heroes and This Is A Call which explains why these songs rock.

It’s crazy how the voice in Get It sounds like Jay Reatard, R.I.P.

The artwork was created by Julie Faure-Brac, and I love her work in the booklet, many details, superbe !

Many very good songs !

Under Pressure

(2006, D.I.Y.) France, Charleville-Mézières.

The Sliping Kangooroos ? It is a rock band from Charleville-Mézières with Raynald, Sébastien, Philippe and Stephan.

“Under Pressure” is their first or one of their first albums.

Julie Faure-Brac did the artwork (http://www.juliefaurebrac.com/) and his brother Clément worked on the mix.

That album reveals TSK’s recipes that you’ll find in their last releases.

I love Love Boat with a fast tempo, some good rock riffs and great vocals.

Hard Rock Is For Deaf Boys has some Artic Monkey’s touch, interesting.

The crazy vocals in I Mean Love remain in mind, as for Under Pressure‘s theme.

Some good songs.
