Gobble Gobble

Secret Ep (7″)

(2010, Royal Rhino Records) Canada

François Soulier, my friend, introduced me to Gobble Gobble, an avant-garde pop band from the future.

Then I ordered their 7″ that I received here in Europe really fast !

The cover art will surprise you. The front side corresponds with the ambiances in their music, but anyone who flips to the other side will be eaten.

It’s a transparent vinyl. It’s the first time I’ve seen this and it’s really cool.
But let’s get back to the most important part : Music.

Lawn Knives is an amazing song. We get this kind of fine electro-pop with
many digital effects over it and the vocals : it glitches, it clitchizes : it glunchizes (I’ll invent definitions for these words on wikipedia soon, as I did for the french word cluncher :  http://fr.wiktionary.org/wiki/cluncher)

The vocals are fun, and you can’t help singing the main riff all day long.
The other song is End Of Days, which is more club, with reverb on the vocals and an interesting production.
To conclude, this Ep is really interesting. I can’t wait to see what’s next !
